When should I go?
Those who appreciate the thrill of the hunt and a high energy atmosphere should head to Le Garage Boutique Sale early on the first day. Shoppers begin lining up in the hour prior to doors opening. Then again, if you prefer a more leisurely shopping experience, come later in the day on Saturday or on Sunday…and FYI, retailers often mark their prices down even more on Sunday! With over 50+ stores in attendance, you are not going to miss out whichever way you decide to do it!!
How do I pay?
Admission is cash only $10.00 per person per day. Tickets are purchased at the door. There are ATM’s on site. Under 16 years is free of charge.
Who do I Pay for Merchandise?
Every retailer processes their own sales, so you must pay for your merchandise at each boutique. Le Garage Boutique Sale advertises cash only but many stores will accept credit cards for large purchases…just ask them.
What is the entrance fee used for?
Door charges cover venue costs, advertising, insurance, staffing, and all the millions of little things that have to happen to make this event a reality. Remember, the stores are selling at or below cost, so Le Garage Boutique Sale keeps their participant fees low so they can pass those savings on to you!!!
Parking
Parking is available at the Palmer Parking Garage, adjacent to the facility with two entrances (from Barton Springs Road or Riverside Drive). Cost: Parking is $7 for most events, with a “Special Event” parking rate of $10 when posted. Follow this link for more parking details/directions: http://www.palmereventscenter.com/directions/parking_2.htm Your best bet is to come with a few of your friends and car pool!!
Are there change rooms?
Some stores set up a change room area but most do not. And because it’s final sale, unless you are comfortable “le nu”, dress accordingly. Many women wear biker shorts, bathing suits, modest lingerie. And voila! You’re prepared to score une grand affaire!!
Are strollers allowed?
Of course!! We love the little ones! Navigating is definitely easier after the first two hours of opening day so you might want to plan accordingly!
What is there to eat and drink?
Palmer has a Starbucks set up with everything you want in the way of specialty coffees. There are also salads, sandwiches and snacks of all sorts. There is a full bar too.
